Inverbroom is a lovely Victorian sporting lodge situated in one of the most beautiful valley on the West Coast. The lodge is situated half a mile from the head of Loch Broom and 8 miles from the idyllic fishing town of Ullapool. Sleeps 16.
The Lodge has been completely refurbished to provide very comfortable accommodation with 8 double bedrooms, 2 smaller single bedrooms, plus cook's accommodation and now comfortably sleeps 16.
Most bedrooms have their own bathrooms. Downstairs there is a large sitting room with log fire, dining room, kitchen and games room with a snooker table. It is an ideal house for both a sporting and family holiday. Dogs are restricted to the ground floor.
This is a wonderful area for walking and bird watching. Munros include An Teallach but there is also the peak of Stac Pollaidh nearby. The beaches of Gruinard and Achiltibuie are unforgettable. Take a boat trip to the Summer Isles or to Handa Island. Visit the famous Inverewe Gardens. There is golf (9 hole courses) at Gairloch & Ullapool. There are boat trips to see whales and dolphins too.
The Broom is a classic spate river and the house has the sole rights to fish 4 rods on the near bank of the river. There are 25 pools and fishing is by fly only. There is a catch and release policy in operation in keeping with other west coast rivers. Fishing runs from mid-June to the end of September.
There is plentiful trout fishing on lovely remote hill lochs and a boat is available by arrangement on the largest of these.
