Stay on a Scottish Estate which extends over some 10,000 acres of the most spectacular scenery in the North West of Scotland.
Rhidorroch House is a delightful, traditional Lodge sitting above Loch Achall with unrivalled views to the East and West. Features of the house include an oak panelled dining room, full sized billiard table and provides comfortable accommodation for up to 14. Only a four mile (10 minute) drive along the Estate's private road and you're in the local fishing village of Ullapool.
There are 2 double (with king-size beds), 4 twin and 2 single bedrooms. Upstairs are 3 bathrooms with large baths and a shower room with power shower; there are 3 loos downstairs.
The kitchen is large and well equipped with both a commercial and a family-sized gas cooker, two large fridges, a chest freezer, large kitchen table, washing machine and dishwasher House guests may elect to self-cater or are welcome to bring their own cook (please contact the estate if you would like advice on engaging a cook). Relax in a very spacious south-facing drawing room with large windows overlooking Loch Achall; the room has its original Victorian fireplace and there are lots of comfortable chairs and sofas, a writing desk, grand piano and a television.
The Dining room is east facing into Glen Achall, so guests can have breakfast in the morning sun and a roaring fire before dinner in this lovely oak-panelled room. The old library peaceful, book-lined sanctuary or children's TV room – the choice is yours. Billiard room with full-size billiard table, log fire and deep, leather sofas. Retreat to the old Library or to the children's TV room.
There is an Outside games room for the kids with a pool table, table tennis and darts. There is a large, walk-in drying room which has plenty of racks and space for outdoor gear and boots. A south facing the veranda looks across the lawn towards the loch; relax in a deckchair, play badminton or wield a mallet on the croquet lawn.
Guests are asked to keep dogs either in their cars or in the corridor by the side door.
Lets at Rhidorroch House include: salmon fishing on the Ullapool river, trout fishing with a boat available on Loch Achall (situated just below the house) plus fishing on the hill lochs. Red deer and sika stalking are both available on request and clay pigeon shooting is also available (please see sporting for more information).

The Estate offers gentle hill walks amidst spectacular scenery and for the more adventurous there are several munros including the famous An Teallach. Visit the fishing villages of Ullapool and Gairloch and the famous Inverewe Gardens. There is golf at Gairloch and Ullapool on pretty 9 hole golf courses. Take a boat trip out to the Summer Isles or visit Handa Island or head up to Cape Wrath.
