Set in a glorious location on the shore edge, the house offers magnificent views across Tarbert Bay and the Sound of Jura. The modest wooden exterior of the house belies the warm comfort inside where the open plan areas provide spectacular landscape views, as well as cosy wood fires and extremely comfortable furnishings. There is also an adjacent barn with a full sized snooker table.
Ruantallain is a spectacular estate of 20,000 acres lying coast to coast across the middle of the Isle of Jura with Loch Tarbert at its southern boundary. Largely spread across the inaccessible western coast of the island, the estate boasts some of the most beautiful and rugged terrain, much of which can only be reached via boat or on foot. Owned and run by the Bury family since 1984 the estate offers fantastic and unique sporting opportunities for both fishing and stalking parties, as well as an exciting and diverse experience for family holidays.
The main house sleeps twelve, in four double rooms, three twins and one single room. There is also a large dining and breakfast room and a spacious sitting room with views over the bay.
For self-catering parties the lodge can be taken for certain weeks of the year with or without a housekeeper.
