Wildlife & Wilderness

The North and West of Scotland are home to some of Europe’s last wilderness areas. As soon as you leave the beaten track the modern world, and its pressures, fade from consciousness and you develop a connection with the land, with the hills and with the eagles that both nourishes and inspires. It is a hauntingly beautiful terrain and one that is capturing the hearts and minds of a new generation of conservationists. A wilderness experience is a beautiful path to tread.

We specialise in groups  and the months of April to October are our recommended time of year for wildlife and wilderness trips. Scotland is at its best in these months and the changing seasons offer different opportunities to budding naturalists. In the Spring new life is appearing everywhere. The countryside is bursting with colour and vitality, birds are nesting and seals are calving. By contrast early Autumn sees dropping temperatures, the onset of the red deer rut and the bright summer colours turning to autumns palette of russet gold’s and orange’s. Both seasons offer an excellent chance of seeing Scotland's big 5 and we work with a selection of Scotland’s most exclusive private lodges and with access to boats, distant bothies, tidal races, whirlpools, bird watching hides and reserves, exceptionally knowledgeable guides and rangers and superb local produce we can deliver the very best.
