Summerhill is known as the most luxurious and well-appointed lodge in the Tay valley. It is the perfect Tay fishing base and it is let by the week with a selection of fishings on some of the Tay’s best known beats including Murthly, Stobhall, Taymount and Upper Scone.
Summerhill sleeps a maximum of 12 in great comfort and there are four double bedrooms (with en-suite facilities), one twin room and two single bedrooms (each with second beds) and two further bathrooms and one further shower room.
The reception rooms include drawing room, sitting room (with TV, videos, games etc) a conservatory with snooker table, dining room, fully fitted modern kitchen and breakfast room, various utility rooms and staff sitting room. There are also clothes washing facilities and drying room.
The River Tay is one of Scotland’s salmon fishing jewels and fresh fish are present from the opening day on the 15th Jan right through to the close of the season. The great attraction of the Tay is that it is never too low to fish and it is ideal for beginners and serious fishers alike.
There is a portfolio of weekly fishings from early spring right through to the close of the season available at Summerhill. These include weeks on Stobhall, Upper Scone, Murthly, Taymount and Ballathie. In all cases there will be a minimum of one ghillie, normally two, well appointed if not luxurious huts and a mix of fishing from both boat and bank.
In nearly all cases it is a requirement to take the house and fishing together.
